Since the rhetorical principles that form the basis of all three professional writing courses are similar, the Professional Writing Committee has developed a set of student learning outcomes that apply to all three courses. These outcomes should guide course design and evaluation of student work in all sections of English 331, 332, and 333.
These outcomes, together with the Professional Writing assignment policies and guidelines for sequencing and evaluating assignments provide the major means of ensuring equitable treatment of students and consistency of instruction in all sections of each course.
